New Music – All Things New

This song, All Things New, is a song that I composed about a year ago.  One week, a Sunday Mass reading included part of the book of Revelation, chapter 21 and the Lord’s promise to make all things new resonated with me and stayed in my mind.  At about the same time I had become interested in Motown artists and music and the combination of the two ideas resulted in my song, All Things New, to which I tried to give a bit of a Motown vibe.  I hope you like it!

Wipe Out!

This is my instrumental rock cover of this classic “Wipe Out!” from The Surfaris and The Ventures.  Most photos are shot on the islands of O’ahu and Maui (Hawaii).

You can get a copy by naming your own price in my Music Store page.  You can also go to CD Baby (available after May 3, 2017), and eventually it should show up on iTunes and Amazon music.

Enjoy!

There’s a video on my YouTube channel too:

Just because I could, I did this:

Hier sind die deutschen Texte zu meiner Aufnahme von Händels Halleluja.  Lassen Sie mich wissen, wenn Sie irgendwelche Fehler sehen.

Here are the German lyrics to my recording of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.  Let me know if you see any errors.

New Music – Pop/Rock Hallelujah Chorus

I am releasing today as a single my own pop/rock instrumental arrangement of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, in the style of someone like Mannheim Steamroller. You can get your copy either directly from my music store, from CD Baby or it should be available from iTunes, Amazon, Google Play or other on-line digital music sites.  Once I have it ready, I can make copies of the score available for anyone who would like a copy.  I created the instrumentation, played the instruments (see list below!) and recorded this in my studio.  Engineering/mixing assistance was provided by “Powerhouse Studios” in Seattle!

DB-17 Playing Parisienne Walkways Melody on Bass

This is lesson, DB-17 Playing Parisienne Walkways Melody on Bass, and is a continuation of my journal of things I have learned as an adult double bass student.

I have wanted to post a lesson about some simple melodies that you can play on the double bass so I decided to just post something that interests me.  And at the moment I am into the late Gary Moore….an incredible blues-rock guitarist.  I absolutely love Gary’s performance of Parisienne Walkways.  The intro to Parisienne Walkways contains the hook and while at first due to the passion with which Gary plays it appears complicated […] Continue Reading…
